Just a glance at the extraordinary equipment with the best high-end components and the flawless processing of the Divine Delta show the claim of this exceptional speaker. Both the ceramic tweeter and the two ceramic mid-bassrange drivers are made by the German manufacturer Thiel & Partner (Accuton) and are among the best drivers in terms of impulse fidelity and precision. In the intricately shaped and stiffened case, the drivers are able to work within optimal, resonance-minimized conditions and thus provide a sound experience that is way above the speakers pricerange.
Drivers
Equipped with the same genes as our flagship, Divine Alpha, the Divine Delta has the excellent ceramic tweeter C25-6-158 from Accuton. Together with Accuton’s C173-11-191 midrange drivers, these drivers are capable of capturing even complex music or film passages absolutely distortion-free and precisely. The strengths of the Delta, however, not only show in the mid and high notes but also in the deep and dry bass reproduction.
Sound Tuning
In order to be able to optimally adapt the Divine Delta to the respective room acoustics and positioning, the loudspeaker offers the option of setting the treble either neutral (0 dB) or slightly lowering it (-3 dB) with the aid of a switch on the rear terminal. In addition, the attached plugs for the bass reflex ports can be used to adjust the tuning of the bass reflex design or to operate the speaker as a closed box
Cabinet
The stately weight (26.5 kg) of the Divine Delta originates thanks to the elaborately stiffened housing. The MDF outer wall is 25mm and effectively prevents internal resonances. The front baffle is 37 – 55mm thick and furthermore equipped with aluminium for even more stiffness. The shapely rounding of the housing acts as a further measure against the standing waves in the interior of the speaker and lowering edge diffraction at the baffle. This combination allows Divine Delta to recreate music with an absolute precision.
Surface
The black piano paint of the Divine Delta is applied in a complex, multi-layered process and ensures an extremely noble appearance. Thanks to the convex shape, the speaker provides unique light reflections and is a real adornment for any room.
Terminal
The speaker terminal which is made from aluminum is prepared to operate the speaker in Bi-Wiring. The chrome-plated brass wing nuts provide maximum stability and thus best signal transmission. There is also a switch on the terminal with which the high-frequency range can be adjusted.
Front Cover
All Divine Delta drivers are protected from possible damage by metal covers. These are permanently installed and optimally matched to the chassis, without producing any loss of sound.
Tweeter
As tweeter an absolute exception driver is used for the Divine Delta. It is the C25-6-158 of the German driver manufacturer Accuton, a tweeter made of special ceramics. This tweeter, which originates from the new Cell series, is almost unsurpassed in terms of speed and distortion. The tweeter’s inner case is specially damped to avoid resonances. The voice coil has a special cooling system to provide optimal working conditions for the tweeter under all circumstances.
Midrange / Woofer Driver
Thiel & Partner, also called Accuton, is one of the most famous manufactures of loudspeaker drivers. The Divine Delta uses the C173-11-191, a 6,5” driver in the top of the line. This mid-bass driver is in the top of the world and can only be found in extreme High End loudspeakers. It is a ceramic driver with a light cone, equipped with a very strong magnet. The driver is extremely stiff and at the same time light, which contributes to the high sensitivity.
Crossover
The clever filtering network of the Divine Delta ensures an impulse-precise and natural sound. For this purpose only Mundorf components are used in the signal path. In addition, we rely on air coils, iron core coils, MKP capacitors and MOX resistors. The transition between the woofers and the tweeter is made via a third order (18 dB) filter.
Sound Tuning
In order to be able to adapt the sound of the Divine Delta optimally to the predominant room acoustics as well as your personal taste, both the treble range and the bass are adjustable. With the help of a switch located on the rear terminal, the treble can be lowered slightly (-3 dB) or set to neutral (0 dB). The bass range can be adjusted with the attached plugs for the bass reflex ports. Thus, both ports can be opened in order to achieve a slight emphasis in the upper bass range. With an open and a closed port, the Divine Delta plays with a bit more pressure in the low bass range while you have a very neutral frequency response when operating the speaker fully closed.
