The Powerful Bottom-End Performance
Unusually at its price level, the 2070Si subwoofer is a completely DSP (Digital Signal Processing) driven system with highly efficient Class D amplification. This has meant we have been able to achieve an advanced level of functionality, as well as optimising the sonic performance, by undertaking all filtering and limiting completely in the digital domain. An example is the ‘Speaker Type’ function switch, which alters the characteristic of the subwoofer’s frequency response at the crossover point. This allows the subwoofer to be optimised for use with either ‘ported’ speakers, like the rest of the Q Acoustics range, or infinite baffle models.
Twin Cones for Added Punch
Rather than using a single larger cone, the 2070Si Subwoofer uses two smaller ones, giving improved depth, delivering a punchier sound with more accurate timing. The 2070Si is a ported, powered subwoofer with 2 x 170mm bass units driven by 140-watt amplifier.
Finishes & Installation
Available in Graphite, Walnut, Gloss Black and Gloss White, the 2070Si comes with carpet spikes for a solid stance or rubber feet for wooden or tiled floors, this clever Subwoofer is easily integrated into a new or existing HiFi systems. It also boasts flush-mounted drive units curved edges for beautiful aesthetics and reduced diffraction.
